Project Overview. Internal fit-out of an existing warehouse in the ‘Al Quoz 3’, Industrial area – Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Steel Storage converted this open span warehouse into a double story facility using the Steel Storage Mezzanine system.
Client. Mr. Tom Riggs owner of Self Store LLC.
Steel Storage relocated the existing single story plasterboard built
self storage facility into this new purpose built spec double storey
facility.
Site Specs. Our Client leased a warehouse having shared parking and access space with other users.

Special Features. Completed in 1 single stage over 42 days i.e.:- 6 week construction duration.
Project completed from client order acceptance on 23rd April 2007 to project acceptance on 15th Jul 2007 = 3 months and 1 week.
Note: this duration included manufacture completion and shipping from Singapore to Dubai.
Our installers from China resided in Dubai for the construction duration.
Learning Experiences.
Managing projects in Dubai, Middle East with its intensive
current construction workload and the resultant difficulty in labour
resourcing – makes all aspects the more challenging.
Steel Storage’s network and ability to efficiently complete projects in
the Middle East is highlighted in the swift completion of this new
facility.
